What is Neuroplasticity?
Your brain can 're-learn' impaired movement patterns; functional tasks can consolidate these patterns of movement, which can be reinforced to form more permanent connections in the brain via repetition. With our expertise, guidance and practice, we can provide you with the support you need to get moving more!
Healthy parts of the brain can compensate for damaged areas by reorganising and the formation of new connections; these connections need to be stimulated by meaningful activity especially for longer term learning of movements.
It’s important to remember that plasticity happens to everyone, whether or not they have a brain injury. The principle of plasticity is that it underlies relearning. So, if you perform a task (for instance, picking up a cup) that attracts cerebral attention, it will generate “plastic” changes in the part of the brain that no longer fulfils that function.
We understand from research that an ‘enriched environment’ can promote plasticity. It’s not just a matter of 100 hours. The client has to attend to what he or she is learning. You are teaching the brain – not a muscle. Neuroplasticity forms a core principle within our management. Gains can be made however old your injury.
we are committed to support you.
Exercise is powerful
Your brain is an incredible organ that holds your thoughts, emotions, memories and learnt patterns of movement through the connections in the brain, these can often be affected following neurological insult.
Leading an active lifestyle has been shown to improve quality of life, our role is to tailor individualised treatment plans and exercise programs to support you. This includes video clips and pictures to ensure you are able to maintain your gains outside of therapy sessions.
We want to empower you to move more efficiently. The ability to do what you love, when you want, will have a positive impact on your wellbeing.

"Dhiren first helped our family a couple of years ago to improve mobility in my mother who had a brain stem tumour. The effective, knowledgeable and empathetic treatment that Dhiren provided made a huge positive difference to her quality of life. Dhiren is excellent at identifying and addressing the underlying issues".Mrs Hussain Notting Hill, London
Dhiren saw me from the beginning when I got out of the hospital and could barely walk. I was using a walker and couldn't leave the house, shower, cook or do anything on my own. I needed 24 hour care. With the help of Dhiren, he not only helped build up my confidence, muscle strength and balance. Achieving my goals to return to work in the city.Ms Klopperberg West London
Dhiren's simple and straight forward program set me on the right track to gradually stretch, strengthen the muscles to restore the alignment and control. Now I can enjoy my long walks and gym activities again. Dhiren's advice on pacing my activity to manage my fatigue was invaluable as I have a muscular dystrophy. Thank you Dhiren for all your assistance and hard work.Mr Halai Harrow
I have been hugely impressed by the specialist physiotherapy input Dhiren provided me and I have benefited enormously from it. He’s a true professional and has worked really hard to help me. Even with relatively intermittent contact, I’ve really felt cared for, an observation I have made over the years is that Dhiren seems to really engage with patients unlike anybody else I have met in the past, his knowledge and understanding around my condition was excellent, I have a rare condition called CIPD.Mr Gregoire Camden
I was introduced to Dhiren by a friend and without his support and expertise within my own home environment following discharge from hospital. I would not have been able to stand and walk confidently as I can today, gaining some of my independence back. Dhiren was able to focus his treatment on the things, which mattered to me the most. I cannot thank him enough for his assistance in my recovery.Ms Tompkins Richmond
Dhiren, who I have had for years, provides clarification of my exercise needs from week to week. He provides regular encouragement and discipline, which stimulates me to “keep on pushing forward”, a lack of motivation can often be a side effect of a progressive neurological condition. His valuable guidance to an exercise regime at home, in the gym and the swimming pool are tailored to suite my changing requirements. I have maintained my independence with his input.Mr Muir Ealing, West London
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Dhiren. I have felt that he has been one of the best physiotherapist I have seen patients with jointly, Dhiren is a very strong advocate for what the patient wants and needs, true patient centered-ness. Great team player and always keen to work together, shows respect for other colleagues, and always keen to make joint decisions.Senior Therapist NHS, London
